Family-owned and operated by Don and Rhonda Carano since 1985. They began with a small, 30-acre plot of grapes to the present 20 estate vineyards. Pleasant aromas of berry fruits, floral and sweet spices. On the palate raspberry and cherry pop out with toasty sweet spice, nicely balanced with acidity. Medium finish, soft tannins, ending with fruit and spice tones. Very nice. Tasting Sample.

I had another Sample of this wine from a high-end producer making a lower-end reasonable priced Pinot that's not bad and still tasting good 6 months later. Dark Ruby, red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate strawberry and tart cherry flavors with herb spice and black pepper notes. Fine savory tannins carry this wine to a medium finish. Consistent notes, no noticeable change. Tasting Sample.

Does not bite! Great aroma, really good palate, finishes well. Best Pinot noir I have tasted in years.

Great stuff vintage in and vintage out.. Raspberry, cranberry, mushroom, and a bit of white pepper on the nose, velvety soft but juicy cranberry fruit on the palate, showing the brilliance of SLH at any price point. Consistently one of my favorites at $20.

Always a favorite for the price. Easy drinking with loads of red fruit and light oak. Great entry level pinot from testarossa.

Luscious fruit and incredible depth for such a humbly priced wine. Baking spices and berry compote, translucent color, this is the type of Pinot I can dive into all day long.

Soft and straight forward. Yes. This is west coast Pinot. Lots of rich fruit, word up acidity. Perfect to end Planet Earth 2..
