Made from organically, dry farmed, untrellised vines planted in 1961. A fresh Chenin blanc that states pineapple, mineral, lemon zest on the nose. Lemon, pineapple, pear and stainless steel on the palette. Fantastic pairing with fresh garlic Argentinian shrimp. Great find!

Ultra-lean, super mineral-driven, perfect ceviche wine.

Testalonga or “long face” is legendary Italian orange wine producer Perrinos nickname. Baby Bandito is Chenin from 46 year old vines in granite soil. Whole cluster, unfiltered. A beautiful gold colour with a delightful nose of baked pineapple, honeysuckle and marzipan. Perfectly balanced with a surprising palate of peaches, pomelo and honey. Deep minerality confirming the old vines. Paired with roasted chicken and vegetables. I really loved this wine.

Well a revisit to a different year, label and time says yes. Weighing heavier than 12% on palate but juicy big and ripe and yes it keeps on punching. Chewy Chenin.

Stinky, tasty, long finish, good acidity that continues to defy a pretty toasty appellation.

Continues to be a standout South African Chenin. One of my faves. Baked apple, marzipan, minerals with a hint of lemon.
