Sipping Fine Wine

Vineyards are 3,500 feet above sea level in Mendoza, deep Ruby with aromas of ripe black fruits and toasty tones. On the palate flavors of blueberry and blackberry with smoky notes and pepper spice. Big firm tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy character.

You were funk! Then you were black cherry, black berry, dried raspberry and blueberry, with black pepper and red flower mixed in. I couldn't tell if you were old or new world, maybe you were confused yourself. You had hints of gravel, and vanilla, baking spice and cinnamon rounded your profile out. You were medium acid medium plus alcohol medium to medium plus tannin and medium finish. I called you an old world Cab Sauv, but you were Altos Del Plata Malbec 2012 Mendoza.

While it tasted fine for a couple of glasses, it had something a bit off about, like it was too polished. The next day I had a migraine from just two glasses, which tells me it is a highly manipulated, mass produced wine, given my past experience

Non-wine drinking husband picked this one out for me. Excellent job dear! Full fruit and the dryness I like.

Smooth drinking Malbec. Rich oak with semi sweet fruity finish. Currant notes with slight spice and light acidity. Good value. Would buy again.

Full body, distinct & rich flavor with hint of fruit & spices. A really nice wine. Recommend.
