Medium ruby red in appearance. A bit savory on the nose with berries, spices, cocoa and a hint of earthiness. Well balanced palate with a medium body and medium tannins (5.5/10). Fresh red berries on the palate with some darker spices and bramble berries. Medium plus finish. Drink till 2029.

Great vineyard, great fruit. More structure than most Cali Grenache, sturdy acidity to keep it from getting blowsy, and plenty red and black berry fruit. Yum.

All the bright red strawberries and raspberries you could want, and with a brisk acidity that keeps everything from getting flabby or boozy on the palate. Add an undercurrent of herbs, earth and leather and you're done. Deeeeee-licious.

2008 Larner Grenache horizontal- no new oak, great acidity. Nimble and pretty, the lightest of the three and my favorite. (No surprise there). I think this has the most upside, though already showing interesting development.

Walks the line between ripe red fruit and stand up acidity. Coming around nicely as a six year old.

Only a regular smiley for now, since this is a great big friendly St. Bernard puppy. Ask me again in a couple years.
