Very very pretty nose. Floral, tar, tobacco, also tamaco. Spice. An herbal element. Really floral after 10 minutes. Almost an incense like intensity. Some mid season cherries. Palate is ripe, juicy and complex and so well made. Exceptional purity and balance and a wonderful suavity to it. Terrific inner mouth aromas and lovely blueberry and black cherry fruit. Great concentration. Terrific length.

First bottle was unimpressive but this was a stunner - everything @Lyle Fass wrote about… wish I had a 6 pack of this - although I don’t know this has a particularly long window but it’s fire now

Tasty. Somewhat herbal and savory. Tannins are soft.

Reminded me more of Dolcetto than Nebbiolo - bit more rustic than I thought it would be - perhaps needed more aeration. Very dank, earthy & herbaceous, hi-toned notes, some spice, fleshy, red fruited… decent weight, bit of astringency on finish.

Moving northward in our search for Nebbiolo. From Grinasco.
N: Mossy, tarry, cherries, dank, dark minerals, lovely, w air a kaleidoscope.
P: Bright acids, tar, cherries, forestall, perfect w Laura Nyro. Tannins open up w time, grippy, black rocks.

PnP
N: Bing Cherries, tar, mulberries, damson plum, gravel road.
P: Cherries, tar, bright acidity, gentle tannic grip, esp. in the cheeks. Mid-light weight in the mouth. I know with air/time, this broadens. As it airs, a mossy, leathery, quality comes forward esp. on the nose.
Really delicious.

N:Big Cherries, tar, baking spices. A bit shy, but coming around. Very tarry sweet and menthol. Barnyard.
P: Gravelly tannic grip. Deep cherries and pomegranates. Red flowers/fruits.
Beautiful acid balance. Bitter finish.
