Has a really marvelous feral element on the nose. Tar, tobacco, leather and the smells of not only herbs but dark, sweet and sour fruits; tamarind, stewed italian plums, molasses. On the palate is juicy black and red fruit, candied black raspberries. This is all carried in a very pure and precise way on the palate.

Attention wine drinkers, 2017 is awesome in Alto Piemonte and is more of a pick and choose vintage in the Langhe. It’s 2 hours north so what happens in the Langhe isn’t what happens in the Alto Piemonte.
Anyways this is a smoke show. Nose has deep, soppy late season cherries, smoke, spice, leather and minerals. Floral and ripe. Excellent purity and focus. Big wall of tannins and perfectly ripe fruit on an elegant frame. Lovely cleansing minerality on the finish. Terrific freshness. Just a great wine. Amazingly well made and super long finish. Young. Need a few hours but what a wine.

This is just gorgeous. Wow. What a beautiful bottle of Boca. Nose is initially shy but has flowers, tar, roses, some tight cherry fruit. It will gain aroma with air and I’ll be back. But the palate is fresh, so elegant and just so refined. This is mega mega refined. Amazingly pure and delicate but has vivacious red fruits. Wonderfully ripe and fleshy tannins and a long, very complex finish. Terrific juiciness and density but all on such an elegant frame. Really big tannins start to develop but the fruit matches it perfectly. Such sick balance. Awesome length. With air my score will go higher.

Dirty floors, Something funky and mossy.
P: Cherries, raspberries, cocoa, some earth, leather. Palate is lighter than expected, med long finish, nicely integrated tannins.

After extended air, 1-11/2 hrs, this really deepened. Some plums show up and the tannins stand up and say hi!

Amazing fruit. So dense. Perfect. Some grippy tannins. Sour cherry. Dark cherry.
Finish is cherry licorice.
