Rustic Merlot, baked red plum, tobacco spice, bright acid, varietal correct. Shows tertiary development and food friendly. A little VA pokes out but not offensive to me. Fun wine at a fun price.

Gamey. Definitely aged. Baked but light red fruit. Classic Italian old school sour cherry.

Thanks Oenotri for the rockin’ wine selection! Italian Merlot with great acidity and smooth approachability

Found this little fella buried in inventory. Too much ethyl acetate for my preference, but nice, defined tannins are holding it together nicely.

An interesting wine. Definitely on the light end of Merlots. Very similar to Californian merlot on the nose (dark fruits and lightly smokey), but acidic and not very tannic. Light in body.
