Opened a bottle in memory of my lost friend, Gino. This wine pleases with dry and chewy tannins balanced with cherry and currant. Little hints of licorice and spearmint. Gino would have loved this bottle ❤️🍷🕊

Winery founded in 73, still unsure if this was made at Produttori, who released their own 67 Cru Martinenga or if made at Marchesi di Gresy without commercial release 🤷🏻♂️ This seemed much different than the 67 Produttori I had tried, it had some strong cedar notes and was ashy. Taste was delicious, made up for a difficult nose. Was hoping for more, but still a great 👍🏽

Lovely fruit on the nose- dried and sour cherry, plums, smokiness (bacon?), black olive, herbs (thyme and rosemary). Complex palate with real persistence and savory fruit. Quite dense and supple. Really excellent with good length.
