This one is tasty. Ripe strawberry, sour cherry, and even a little bubble gum. Floral shows up nicely, rose petals and hibiscus. Well structured, fresh, and gulpable.

2015v. 100% sangiovese grapes. Salmon pink, very smooth, more body, flavors of red licorice, soft and rounded acid (which some might seek out, in contrast to more crisp rosés) with a little cherry on the quick finish. Not bad, outright, but I think there are better rosés for less. At $20, you might as well spring for a bandol if you want a pink wine with complexity, or find an easy drinker for less. 12.5% ABV.

A little too round and flabby for me. Tastes like sweet, cherry bubblegum. Definitely wouldn’t buy again. [I’m going to slightly amend my review of this wine. Was much better on day 2 with spicy salmon. I think this wine just needs the right food. Or maybe the acidity dissipated somewhat since I’m drinking the 2019 in 2021.]
