2008 Vintage. Great wine but I found the Rosso Banfi better on this vintage... and at a fraction of the cost. This one was just a bit light for my tastes.

Needed several hours of decanting to open up. Fabulous bouquet. Cassis, red cherry, licorice, and blackberries. Full-bodied. I might cellar this a bit longer.

Great wine. Really is Montalcino’s version of a white wine. Layers of fruit with tight tannic edges. A rose to put to rest. Look forward to enjoying more in a year or so. RIP Franco Biondi-Santi
