Still young fruit - dried cranberry, cherry, floral - but with some dusty leather and soft tannins. Long finish with a bit of prune and lots of espresso. Really wonderful. Merry Christmas 🎄

Collosorbo's 2016 Rosso di Montalcino offers terrific density and plushness, qualities that are so typical of the wines from this part of the appellation. Succulent dark cherry, mocha, spice, leather and licorice all meld together in a deep, resonant Rosso that exudes richness and intensity. $23.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2019)

2015 vintage. Out of the blocks quickly. Drinking fantastic right now. Great balance.

Palish red. The intensely floral nose (violet, peony, iris, rose) also offers aromas of red cherry and incense. Dense but juicy, showing a sappy quality, but plenty of extract nicely frames the red fruit and candied violet flavors. The long finish is given added punch by strong underlying minerality. Very attractive wine of impeccable balance. Well done. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, April 2018)

Light ruby color with garnet rim. Dried red fruits dominant. Balsamic and wet leaves. Quite new world style with a bone dry and slight bitter finish. Solid

Dark cherry, raisin, dried herbs, mint, and leather. Balanced and a good example of a montalcino.
