Brunello di Montalcino

Ok wine in a great year for brunello. Everything in the right place but not exciting.

Ready to rumble. Distinctive notes of pipe tobacco. From Coravin tonight for Covid restraint... 😂

After 8 years Buca di S. Antonio doesn’t disappoint.
The Brunello was outstanding, from a great vintage. Paired wonderfully with the pasta bolognese and veal loin. The waiter also poured a 2017 to compare. The 2016 is better and enjoyable now. A delicious dinner at a amazing restaurant.

Just ok. Expecting more.

Packs a punch! Earthy, dark smokes and dark berries

All brunellos are great but this one was even a notch better! Definitely gonna get this one again

2014...Frescobaldi. Did not comment when rating but but probably better than the rating of 9.1. Tastes best while in Italy.

This wine is a lovely representation of Montalcino. It is a med wine with body big
Flavors if cherry, tobacco, herbs and leather. Smooth tannins round this out for a wonderfully drinkable highly enjoyable wine. Everyone at the large family dinner loved it.

Definite black cherries, prominent but not overdone.

Black cherry and hint of leather on the nose. Savory herbal notes, plum and black cherry. Still a bit hot after decanting. Smooth and velvety finish
