Deep dark cherry on the nose, nice mineral-flecked gravel notes. A little tight initially on the palate, it opens slowly to reveal deep savory/dark fruit. Medium low acids, tannins hidden in the deep wash of fruit. Very nice over the next few years.

Cranberry, black cherry, wood floor, and smoke aromas; very dry with a welcome earthiness and luscious acidity, elegant and grippy tannins, overall a super Chianti! Paired well with a spicy, garlicky chicken and roasted potatoes.

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening, post-season for the BSO we get Popular Artists, tonight was Brandi Carlile and as always she puts on a spectacular show, vocals second to none.
