Deep dark cherry on the nose, nice mineral-flecked gravel notes. A little tight initially on the palate, it opens slowly to reveal deep savory/dark fruit. Medium low acids, tannins hidden in the deep wash of fruit. Very nice over the next few years.

Cranberry, black cherry, wood floor, and smoke aromas; very dry with a welcome earthiness and luscious acidity, elegant and grippy tannins, overall a super Chianti! Paired well with a spicy, garlicky chicken and roasted potatoes.

From scratch bruschetta using our garden ripened tomatoes, screaming for Chianti. This 13 year old Chianti Classico Reserva from the heart of Chianti answered the call. Intense, tangy pie-cherry fruit and a grippy finish with rustic tannins. Our wine moment of the day 👍.
