Vintage 2017 | infanticide, too powerfull tannines, but also blackberries, minerals and a lot of sophistication

corked but even so it tastes good! clearly not what it should be though.

Feudi di Mezzo, Il Quadro Della Rose. Brilliant purple red. Cherry, red currant, barrel toast and butter notes in nose. Dust, rose and cherry fruit leather in mouth, seed bitterness on finish, herb and spice in aftertaste.

The acid and tannins play beautifully together in this wine. Dried red fruits linger in a long long finish. Top notch effort.

These wines are always so great. The only issue with them is we probably all drink them too young.

Bangin! Tons of red fruit and less blood orange than the other Crus.

Alongside Roast Chicken...

You'd think this was a Langhe Nebbiolo based on the nose. Tar, scorched rose petal and sour cherry. Will wait 4+ years on my other bottles.
