Mature and killer. A kiss of VA, which I thought helped way more than otherwise. Oddly, there was next to no sediment in the bottle, and the cork looked brand new.

2001 Poggio al Vento Brunello di Montalcino Col d'Orcia. Opened last night (24 hours ago). Closed, tide wouldn't talk 2 me, I guess was not in the mood. Tonight it's definitely more talkative with aromas of dark fruit, earthy, good intensity, minerality and overall good structure Full body with elegant tannins and good acidity. I would like to see it in 5-10 years time
