Santa Barbara County Syrah

Savory, smoke, touch of iodine and California sunshine

Still pretty young, on day two of the bottle being open you can get a good sense of what this wine is all about. Ripe fruit of blackberries and blueberries with eucalyptus. Ripe and peppery in the mouth great acidity and long finish. 9/26/14

This wine has a very primary construction. Black olive tapenade, bacon fat, and black fruits. Short-lived on the palate with an almost carbonic flavor. The nose is far superior than the taste.

It has been over a year ago when I tried this wine last. It is really drinking well now, dense and loads of fruit, wish I had bought more.

Indulgent, rich and full flavored black fruit, yet wonderfully balanced so as not to overwhelm your mouth with jam. An unexpectedly deep wine. #laterwine
