Telavi Wine Cellars
Kondoli Vineyards Marani Saperavi
Plum, blackberry, touch of resins and slight oak. Dry, mid+ acidity and mid tannin. well made but a little lack of concentration, structured red.

Nov 25th, 2018Awful. Like a wet dog standing next to a gasoline-fed trash fire.

Sep 7th, 2020A quite nice wine from Georgia - relatively limited experience with these wines, but clearly a strong winemaking tradition. Nice and inky dark in the glass, with lots of dark berry fruit. Medium bodied with medium minus tannins and good acid on the finish. For the price - and with Georgian food in Brighton Beach - a nice wine for sure.

Oct 26th, 2019This is not the Merlot blend. Much nicer
is the 100% Saperavi grape edition. Really pleasant wine. Full bodied. Only thing that prevents a top rating is that its taste does not develop in the mouth. Maybe i should have left the bottle unopened for a year or two.
