Bought this Canadian Riesling at Dandelion Wines in Greenpoint on Meg McNeills recommendation. Fabulous rendition of a German Kabinett style treading a fine line between residual sugar and mineral acidity. Only 10% alcohol. A real find.

Nose of highway rest areas. ( as in pure diesel). My daughter didn’t even want to try it. But after some mild coaxing she did. Crisp, zesty, expressive- some pineapple and lemon/ lime zest. Touch, just a touch of sugar on the tail end. Marvelous wine for $15.

Unripe stone fruit, green apple, minerals. Medium body. High acidity, risidual sugar. dry. Thick on the tongue. round, tight. Clear and straightforward. Green grass and apple, gas, rubber, petrol. Pineapple Shows great Riesling character.

Big fan of this Riesling suggested by @Meg McNeill. My second Canadian wine on @Delectable Wine and what a stunner. Perfect for hot summer evenings.

No real color to the wine. Nose of chalk, white fruits, lemon and herbs. On the palate, beautiful concentration, good acidity that balances the residual sugar, flavors of grape fruit, ripe apples, slight mineral side and finish with lime flavor that brings more freshness. Well-made and better with air. Good+ (88)
Made of 100% Riesling grape, hand harvested from sustainably-farmed Niagara Peninsula vineyard. Aged in stainless tanks. Alcohol level of 10%
