Talbott
Kali Hart Monterey County Chardonnay
Monterey County, Central Coast, California, USA

A litttle clunky. Weird oak flavors. A bit too ripe.

Talbott pioneered top-class Chardonnay in Central California. Their entry-level Kali Hart Chardonnay is a winner in 2018. Sappy, penetrating and vibrant, the Kali Hart displays well-concentrated, mineral-tinged pear and floral qualities complicated by vanilla flourish on the focused finish. $23.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, December 2020)

Golden in color with a yellow tint.
Fruity nose of melons, citrus, lemons, apples, oak, vanilla and white pepper.
Full bodied, buttery and bold, with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with lemons, citrus, red apples, cream, butter, oak, vanilla, spices, herbs and white pepper.
Medium finish with bitter almonds.
This is an Oaky Chardonnay, and not too bitter with a creamy feel. Simple and buttery. A very typical California Chardonnay.
Not my style, but drinkable nonetheless.
Robert Parker 89 points. Wine Enthusiasts 88 points.
I paired it with heavy appetizers and seafood.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
