Big fruit without being over the top or out of balance. If you like a fruit-forward Californian Red Blend, this one provides good QPR for around $30 retail.

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, coke, light earth, medicine, pencil lead and black pepper.

Full bodied, smooth and bold, with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black plums, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, leather, pencil lead and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and cherries.

This is a great Red blend from Napa Valley. Well balanced with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel. Elegant and very enjoyable by itself or with food.

Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour in the decanter.

Wine Enthusiasts 90 points.

Hugh tannins come in after 2 hours. Definitely needs 3 to 5 years to calm down.

A blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Zinfandel, 15% Merlot and 13% Petite Sirah. Aged in French oak barrels.

14.3% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$36.

Beautiful color! Vanilla and oak aroma. Balanced on palate. Herbal? So good! Would absolutely buy again.

My bottle says “Napa Valley Red Wine”. The bottle doesn’t list the grapes but this was the closest choice to my bottle. Not remembering how/where I acquired this bottle or the price. Pleasant enough though.

Raspberry, mint, and tea nose. Medium plus body. Fairly well balanced. This wine is very consistent. Always a 91 for me. Maybe even better. At 30 bucks, it's pricey but at 22-24, a great go to steak wine.

“I don't know who you are. I don't know what wine you want. If you are looking for Wine Spectator Wine of the Year or 100 points from Robert Parker, I can tell you I don't have them, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Viticultural techniques I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make this wine a nightmare for wine dilettantes like you. If you thoughtlessly chug this wine now that'll be the end of it. It will not look for you. but if you don't, It will look for you, It will find you and It will kill you...with a 30 second long finish.”
