An intense nose. Lemon oil, oyster shells. A beautifully rounded midpalate with bready warmth, good definition some secondary notes and a long finish. Fantastic stuff. One of the best 96’s

Medium gold, maybe just a little lighter than the 95 next to it. Great nose with persistent tiny bubbles. Not as complex or developed as it’s older sibling. Notes of apricot, lemons, and stones. Has the material to be the better Wine of the two but it’s still young, needs more time. BDay dinner 2/12.

Medium gold color. Nice energy and bubble intensity. Notes of lemon, stones, crisp red apples. Expansive in the mouth. Toasty. More developed and complex than the 96 next to it. BDay dinner 1/12.

A young brute. Showing very fresh, all about stones and structure . Bury this and drink something else for now

Have enjoyed this several times over the past 12+ months and it keeps getting better and better with time.
Perhaps
@Antonio Galloni
is right with his praise and I should have stocked up better.

Oh hey. This Comptes talks. It says “I am here” the way landing a proper tours jete feels good I probably messed that ballet spelling. But this wine was lovely and lively and precise.

My first sip on the '06, and I'll be coming back for more... Very fine bubbles, quite elegant in the glass. Incredibly balanced between mineral, acid and Chardonnay fruit, hint of sweetness and salinity on the long finish.

Photos of the hand carved, chalk cellar halls that extend three levels below ground to age an amazing amount of wine and 3000ml bottles of the Brut Reserve resting in the riddling racks. They have one employee to riddle all their bottles, he turns about 44,000 bottles per day.

We got the extra special tour thanks to our trade affilliations, seeing bottles they usually don't allow the tours go any place near... Hiding deep the caves they are resting the Comte in the (2012) 3L jeroboam and (2012) 6L methuselah formats, OMG would I love to get my hands on one of those... Keep your eyes out, guessing they might hit the market in the next few years. 🍾🍾 They won't be cheap.

Light straw color. Active tiny bubbles. Notes of light apricot, bread dough, lemon, white stone and egg shells. Great fruit and structure in the mouth. Acidity lingers nicely in the lasting finish. Very good performance once again. Great juice.
