Rose petals, pebbles and bramble fruit. I would age this wine for at least another six months. Drank 10.9.16

Our roast duck was a bit of a disaster, but the wine held up its end. Drinking at peak.

One of the best Syrahs I ever had. From Paso, and competing right up there with the Justins and Daous of the region. Very silky and beautifully balanced. Just a really big wine.

Classic Paso Robles Syrah: dark fruits, spice, licorice and full bodied. Enjoyed its smooth cassis and cherry flavors with violet and anise nose. I love the dusty tannins! Decanted for 90 minutes first. Will be even better in 2-3 years.

A little worse for wear from the racking, but the contents are entering a nice spot. Clearly big CA fruit, but supported by a nice structure and a lot of earth/game/smoke elements.
