Tablas Creek Vineyard
Paso Robles Tannat
Patience is rewarded. This beast has mellowed into a dark fruit, espresso and earthy juice that’s a pleasure to drink. Just enough acidity. Tannins have grip and elevate this baby into something big and worth drinking. Those Beaucastel descendants know what they’re doing!

2 people found it helpfulMay 8th, 2018Big black raspberry, spice, violets and dark earth on the nose. The tannin structure is of course big. This wine needs another 8+ years. Black plum, black raspberries, blackberries, dark cherries, expresso roast, black tea, grilled meats, tough leather, tobacco, herbs, spice, dark dry earth, dark florals, nice acidity with a dry dark fruit and crushed mineral finish. Should improve nicely in time.

Apr 18th, 2016Blackberry, black currant jam aromatically. If you stuck a big piece of blackberry pie in your mouth, that would describe the jammy ness in the mid palate. Very yummy & a very nice experience.
