The 2017 ‘Espirit Blanc de Tablas’ is a downright heavyhitter, primarily comprised of Roussanne (75%) with smaller portions Grenache Blanc and Picpoul Blanc. Good richness marks the nose with toasted Challah bread, Pazzaz apple, kiwi and apricot undertones. The palate is both refreshing and highly gratifying, revealing a wonderful fatness and viscosity. Seamless throughout, lychee, starfruit, honeydew melon and wet stone flavors with kumquat tones all collide on the palate. The extremely long, cream and mineral-driven finish completes this simply stunning Rhone style white wine. While this is marvelous now, this has both the stuffing and acidity to cellar well over the next fifteen to twenty years. Drink 2019-2035- 95

With this much age this is a really fun bottle! Nose has baked stone fruit and tons of hazelnut with a hint of dried citrus peel. Palate is lively and rich with amaretto, bananas foster, peach crumble, and lemon custard. Fantastic.

So fun and decadent. White CDPesque in profile and weight - slight candied citrus and nuttiness takes it back to Paso though. These age beautifully

Gotta let these rest for a bit - this one is just starting to be its best self. Rich, honeyed complexity without being cloying or overly soft. Nice.

From 375 ml. More advanced than I would have expected. Very nutty.

I don't think people realize the aging potential of this wine. Poached pear, toasted hazelnut, and some saline notes complete the nose. Weighty mouthfeel but not overbearing whatsoever. Sublte acidity rounds out the long mouth-coating finish. Oh god, and this is out of a 375ml. Would put this against any other California white that's ten years old.
