Co-owned by the Perrin family of Beaucastel fame. This is their entry-level white blend, 54% viognier, 30% grenache blanc, 8% marsanne and 8% roussanne. Evolved golden colour, intense nose reminescent of dried exotic fruits, sage and a hint of bee wax. Medium-bodied, ripe and round, with good balancing acidity, nice mineral notes and a rather long, spicy, bitter-almond finish. Amazingly complex for a white, 6 years old entry-level wine. 22 euro. 2010 vintage.

kind of like my bowling game...ok at first- not great... Got better but fell off by the end
But it was on the 'uninvited guest rack' ;)

This is one of my go-to table and cocktail wines. This Viognier Grenache blanc etc blends is the US equivalent of a white rhone blend at an affordable price. Tablas Creek is a partnership with the famous Beaucastel folks, and this is the middle priced version between the Patelin and the Espirit. Eminently drinkable and this 2010 is no exception. The 2013 Patelin is lauded in the new WS as a smart buy at $20

Perfect with the half bushel of blue crab we received because the Giants beat the Nats in the playoffs. Delicious!

Yeah. It's probably good but it's not for me.

A really nice white, full bodied but still a little delicate. Nice and floral with some oak
