Altano is produced by the Symington family, known for their long history of producing Vintage Ports in the Douro, under such labels as Grahams, Warres, Dows and Quinta do Vesuvio. Dark red, a blend of Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca, with floral and sweet fruity aromas. On the palate sweet cherry fruit, gentle spice with juicy tannins. Medium finish with good balance, needs food to enjoy.

Mooie kleur, zachte smaak, beetje fruitig maar zeker niet te fruitig.
Bijzonder rood wijntje

Drank it again. Here is a more in depth review: Earthy with a hint of berry and menthol on the nose. Flavor is also earthy. Kinda savory with tons of spice and even a bit of burnt garlic or something. Dark color, dark flavors, dark stuff. Pretty tannic. A strange but interesting little bugger.

Nice full and lovely Douro. Has all the components. Plenty of tannin. Flavor is ripe and tasty.

I really liked this Wine. Of course Netflix and Wine for me go way too good together. Maybe I should not rate wines, while binge watching. cheers!

9 out of 10 for the value here! Good balance of tannins to fruit to spice for $11! Great table wine to drink during the week.

Lovely smooth red. Right out of bottle was full bodied but not harsh. Worked well with salmon wine sale bargain. Drank 3/17 Shabat.
