Romanée St. Vivant Grand Cru Pinot Noir

Musty but promising out the gate, then explosively floral and perfumed about 30 minutes in, but then shut down, not to emerge again. Maybe just a weird showing, but for the money, I'd like something more consistently excellent.

2nd of 6 RSVs at this dinner. This was tremendous. The sappy red fruits were rockin’. Backed up by zippy acidity and a nice tannic backbone.

Restrained nose, blueish. Deep, involved. Not flashing it's knickers. Quality but blind a touch hidden

Elegant subtle light floral with medium acidity and long finish of ripe berries. Would not age any longer ready to drink
