Really nice plushy persistence, especially for a medium bodied wine, and it improved with air, but there’s a touch of unpleasant raisin up front.

Dark inky red made from 95% Listan Negro from 120 year old vineyards with a complex nose and aromas of perfumed fruits. On the palate juicy with ripe red berry fruit and mineral tones. Smooth silky tannins on a long finish. Very Nice!

Pretty easy drinking from a varietal I've never had, and from a area I've never had wine from. Aromatic and culpable like gamay but def more body and heft.

Opened up today, I'll drink it for the next couple of days to highlight the differences and notice the evolution.. but since now I can lightly confirm how much I like this Tenerife 100% Listán Negro from the plot of ungrafted vines "La Solana" which is old over 100 years!

It is expressive in the nose with smokey notes and spicy fruit aromas of blackberry, raspberry, strawberry, violets and black pepper. In the palate it is smooth and silky, with very soft tannins, a moderate acidity and juicy concentration with a persistent after-taste.
