My first Tenerife wine. Listan negro is the dark-skinned version of Palomino of Sherry, and Tintilla is probably Grenache. I was blown away with the price-vs-quality of this wine which was balanced and aromatic and revealed interesting notes on nose and palate including candied fruit, raspberry, herbs, white pepper, and a moderate oak profile.

Gorgeous color. A tad darker than Pinot noir. Rancid game, crushed rock on the nose. Palate is berry acid and punchy spice. Long concentrated finish.

Canary Islands. Mostly Listan Negro. A lighter style red with floral nose, pepper on palate. I really liked it.
