Truncated dinner party notes. This ‘18 is uncommonly open and friendly for a Storybook Zin, which typically take years to unfurl. Really nice ripe flavors and perfect balance.

Bramble berry, sour cherry, slight rubber, vanilla cream, cedar, spice, soft tannins, moderate abv for zin @14.7 and nice acid. Maybe just a touch too much new oak for me, but definitely ribeye worthy.

Surprisingly high level of Brett. Wouldn't identify as zin. Would have guessed Southern Rhone. Not common from this great zin producer. Never had one this old though. Doesn't seem tired, however.
