Very closed off night 1. Night 2 it showed more fruit but was still very nuanced for a Zin. I love Zin as a food wine and this is a good option for food pairings.

Very drinkable zin. Moderate spice profile and balanced acidity pairs well with soppressata, double creme gouda, and olive oil & balsamic soaked french bread.

Blackberries, strawberry jam, cranberry compote. Bitter dried herbs on palate. Brighter acidity. Layered and nuanced.

Amazing color. Virtually pinot-like in its translucent crimson ruby tint. Thick sexy legs. Nose has a sweet cola effervescent quality and a feeling of walking along a stony river after a rainstorm. Mouthfeel is dynamic. Very concentrated at the center. Tannins are woody and fine. Solid core of fruit on the finish. TransZindent wine. No joke.

14.9% alc.
Old school...old school.
Light in color, with a nice acidic backbone and true varietal character this taste like minimal intervention was used in the cellar (and Thank-you for that!).
Reminds me of how (Napa/Sonoma) Zins tasted decades ago.

Sleek and graceful with plenty of dried sage aromatics, this aged beauty offers elegance in a rare way. I'm sincerely impressed considering variety and age here.

Fruit forward with balanced tannins and light acidic fruit notes. Cheese pizza anyone?!

Surprisingly high level of Brett. Wouldn't identify as zin. Would have guessed Southern Rhone. Not common from this great zin producer. Never had one this old though. Doesn't seem tired, however.
