Estate Grown Ballard Canyon Roussanne

Glorious riches! As deep in the palate as it looks. Dripping with overripe citrus and honeysuckle, fleshed out with vanilla and a body to die and be reborn for.

Powerful floral and lychee notes on the nose with touches of grilled pineapple, banana taffy and hazelnuts. Tropical fruit flavors grip the mid palate with plenty of intensity. The skin contact again brings a nice phenolic element that frames the exuberant fruit very well. Low brix/high acid provides a great treble frequency to balance the generous mid-range and booming bottom-end tones.

Really lovely. No filtration, gentle skin contact resulting in depth, concentration and freshness. Apricot, ginger, lemon curd, hazelnuts and fresh butter. Outstanding.

Chamomile, dry cider, Fino, hazelnuts and sea salt. More skin contact, less new oak this year. Hermitage-like. Ridiculous. #roussanne #stolpmanvineyards
