Every decade I try again, and I remain disappointed for 30 years. This wine has a bright. nose and then immediately takes your mouth for an acid bath. I think I'm done forever with this wine maker.

Once again Sterling delivers a solid mass market wine. One step above their entry level, the Napa Valley black label is a decent offering at a low price point. Not overly distinctive, but nice apple and pear notes with ok doses of oak and butter. Solid everyday drinker.
