Napa Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Steltzner was purchased a few years ago by the Plumpjack group, who now operate Odette on the property. Those wines are expensive and quite enjoyable, but I’m not so sure that they will age like these ones.

Release at $12 dollars a bottle. Sensational bottle!

Super impressive in the first 2+ hours (WOTN for my group tonight) but I personally wanted it to sing for longer and think the '84 holds the edge.
Like a Ch. Margaux 1983/86 battle...??

Nicely balanced with sweet softened tannins.
Perhaps a tad below the bottle I enjoyed the night before.

The old Steltzner's are still going strong.
Labelled as table wine so >14% alc.

Big acid.

This wine blew me away. Still had fruit, absolutely stunning.

So much fruit left. Had been decanted for awhile, and was full of flavor, texture, and just pretty!

So-so... Not much fruit left in this bottle...

When you poured this @David L , i guessed it was a well aged cab with 15+ years on it...not 30+ years! What a beauty. Really enjoyed sipping on this. Wasnt lacking in any department. All the core components were still lifting this one up.
