Sipping Fine Wine

Jed Steele has worked making wine in California since the late 1960s. In 1991, he founded his own small winery in Lake County. Tried a 375ml bottle. Medium red with a Berry fruit nose giving off spice. On the palate, cherry and strawberry flavors together with oak and tea spice taking center stage. Savory Tannins are present in a medium finished, OK. 2013 is a bit better than the 2012.

Magnum.

With an hour decant the wine drank very balanced with very clean, pure red fruit.

Dried cherry, light cola notes. A bit too much oak. Tannins out of balance.

Deep raspberry and Bing cherry. Honestly like some of the best raspberry I've picked from a wine ever just rounded well and deep in the flavor. Pretty fruit bowl-y which I personally enjoy. Typical California Pinot. Some sediment in the mix too.
