Want to try a younger vintage. Light tobacco with chewy mouthfeel. Bright cherry.

Jed Steele has worked making wine in California since the late 1960s. In 1991, he founded his own small winery in Lake County. Tried a 375ml bottle. Medium red with a Berry fruit nose giving off spice. On the palate, cherry and strawberry flavors together with oak and tea spice taking center stage. Savory Tannins are present in a medium finished, OK. 2013 is a bit better than the 2012.

Medium red color with a Berry fruit nose giving off a little spice. The wine shows plum, cherry and strawberry flavors on the palate together with some oak and spice taking over. Tannins are present as well as some spiny acidity. Finished about medium, ok but not great.

Such a good value. On the heavier side of Pinot but deliciously fruity and even a tad of dried leaves and earth. Yummy.

Rich mouthfeel of ripe bing cherry and a hint of star anise. Bold Pinot just like I like it.

Dried cherry, light cola notes. A bit too much oak. Tannins out of balance.
