Stag's Leap Wine Cellars
Winemaker's Series Dijon Clone Chardonnay
Very nice example of what Napa chard should be, elegant integrated and delicious with just a hint of oak and butter

Jul 30th, 2020WOW normally don’t love Chardonnay but this is a very light, drinkable wine. Apricot and grapefruit with a light oak finish.

May 4th, 2020A nice fall type day on the deck. This Stags Leap is definitely a nice drinkable chard but just not enough oak for my taste. Probably doesn’t help that I’m enjoying a nice Maduro cigar. Should have gone with a more oaky choice. I do like the acidity and it is fresh. Has a little mineral on the back end which I actually enjoy. I think I would enjoy this more on a warm summer day. Stags always delivers for me but I am just an amateur so just telling what I’m tasting. If you prefer a refreshing chard over deep oak. This is a go to. Enjoy. Made my Saturday evening deck date with my wife very enjoyable.
