Valentine's Day wine, this gorgeous beauty is still young and vibrant, has amazing texture and a great balance of masculine and feminine. What a knockout!

Tasted by tkoby11 on 3/16/2013 & rated 94 points: My last bottle of anything 1999 from this winery, and that sucks!
Color: A deep red robe of garnet, a vibrant claret!
Nose: The youthful color deceives the taster as the nose is definitely mature with leather, cigar wrapper, but there are ripe currants and black cherry, loamy earth.
Palate: The attack is immediate, and expands over the mid palate and persists easily to the finish, a classic Napa claret, not a monster cab. Oak is just about nowhere to be found, as the currants and cherry take center stage on the palate, with classic Stag's Leap silky tannin, good acidity too.
