Quite deep ruby , with thin ruby garnet rim. Quite rich and decadent on the nose , plum , ripe cassis , oak , blackberry , coffee and dark chocolate . On the palate again rich and quite sweet , with dark plum , cassis , blackberry and coffee hints . There are some spice notes and chocolate richness on the medium length finish . The alcohol is a little noticeable, just balanced acidity and quite fine , polished tannins . Unapologetically juicy and quite rich , if lacking a little complexity. Though this will age ok , I would prefer to drink over the next 5 -7 years .
