Cheap Chardonnay sends little Robitussin daggers into my mouth and I hate pretty much all of them. Not this one for twenty bucks.
Way more serious than I was expecting and I’m trying to understand how St. Reginald is able to make cheap US Chard taste so Burgundian. That is, this is high acid with good body, deep concentration, and incredibly well integrated oak. That’s the key.
Aromas of lemon vanilla poppyseed cake. Mouth coating viscosity with back of the tongue acid. Flowers, orchard fruits, spice, all singing together. It’s the meddling of it all. Buy this if you find it.

Really cool wine, not only do I love the story and package, I enjoyed the style, leaner and very citrusy, no buttery oak character at all, the texture was very nice and the finish crisp, will definitely check out the rest of their wines.
