St Innocent Winery
Dijon Clone Freedom Hill Vineyard Chardonnay

Aromatics and flavors of the color yellow. Ripe, juicy and exotic pineapple and peaches. Diacetyl is a bit strong but it fits the style and is balanced by very natural acidity. The potential is there for Chardonnay in Oregon.

I know this site more for Pinot, but this Chardonnay delivers the goods. Oregon Chard hits that balance of richness and minerality throughout nose, palate and texture.

Slightly golden hue full of fresh crispness to the nose. Very smooth on the introduction of the palate followed by some tart, zing and zest then finishes off smooth again with some like hazelnut on the exhale.

Had some extra light filled character even beyond a Calif chardy.

Hot vintage aged on lees in neutral oak provides rounder flavors of pineapple and honeycomb without the butter. Chablis was apparently an inspiration. That's a reach but this is enjoyable WV Chardonnay in a different style.

Apply nose. Very impressive hint of hazelnuts already. Very Burgundian in style great stuff and a very good value. Quite amazing✨. The winemaker is fun too.

Juicy, crisp apples, ripe plums, rich, but with a bite, like a spritz of icy snow stinging your cheeks when a corner is rounded. But this tastes like autumn- not winter. It evokes the rich orange of an oak leaf- not a bare twig.
