Excellent excellent Aussie Shiraz!!! Delicious. Good fruit, spicy, complex. It was fantastic with pizza the first night, and chicken parmigiana the following night.

This was a wonderful Australian Shiraz. Complex nose with a nice mix of dark fuit and earth from hints of leather and cigar box. Well balanced pallate full of blueberries, açaí berries with well integrated tannins and tertiary flavors of cured meat and sweet tobacco which carry into quite a long finish. Was a great pairing with italian sausage & sage manicotti! ($14) [2/3/18]

Vibrant purple color. Baked blackberry and blueberry with savory herbs and a hint of eucalyptus and iron. Meaty for sure.

On the tongue the wine is weighty, heavy but finishes clean. The finish drops off suddenly but it is a very drinkable wine. Don't mistake the low (for Delectable) score, it's good stuff.

Ripe red fruits and a definite spice note at the end. Hint of chocolate too. Medium plus tannins.

Big blueberry notes. Like blueberry pie filling with big violets and light pepper notes. Slightly creamy. Not too hot either at 14.5

I'm addicted to Barossa Shiraz! What is really interesting is how well they are aging. This 2008 was still youthful and in any case still in perfect condition. Tannins are also an important factor in aging.
