Opens with vanilla, raspberry highlights, black fruited foundation, nice acidity and fine savoury tannin. Needed a good couple of hours for it to all come together with an earthy broad savoury finesse and finish. Next time (I’ve got 5 bottles left) will begin with a 2 hour decant and cut to where I like it :)

Stunning, generous but refined, Moreish but you want nothing more to savour the glass. Olympian gymnast balance.

An Aussie version of CDP with Mataro Grenache Shiraz Carignan and Cinsault. Savoury yet fulsome. Notes of cherry and butterscotch. As this has aged the components of the wine have become less identifiable and the wine has become more one dimensional. A good blended wine. Drink in 5 years from vintage.

Seductively perfumed; musky and floral with a plethora of red fruits with a dusting of spice and earth. Palate throws in some red apple skin and plum. It's so effortless it could be mistaken for lacking complexity buts it's not; impressive tannin structure and acid helps carry the fruit throughout the finish.

Not showing the complexity one would expect from 5 different Rhone grape varieties and an Artisan Winemaker. A little too ripe and simple. Some cherry notes. 16.

Big juicy but not overbearing and some rather lovely acidity in the mouth

Stunner - just dense & inky, brooding effusive nose of a berry compote, rich ripe saturated with pervasive spine of minerality, Herbes de Provence. Just jaw dropping. So soft & plush on palate, like sinking into an old Cadillac, crushed velvet, gobs of dark fruit, sweet baking spices, pepper and extraordinary length on finish. Tasted w/vintner prior to release (knew it would be epic) - drank & sold a lot of this. In the zone now w/many years ahead
