Stunning nose of violets, ripe red cherries, so so floral and deep cherries. Unreal depth. Age really helps these Pinots. Startling aroma. 9.4/9.5. Palate is tensile and nervous like the author of this note but with air this will flesh out. Gorgeous depth, texture and purity. Sweet sweet fruit. Superb elegance and sweet, ripe and velvety tannins. Really packs a punch. Terrific palate presence. Great wine.

Needs 15 minutes to get going but oh man when it does. Gorgeous mid season cherry, slate, minerals, spices, deep ethereal aromas. Heavenly. Wood spice. Palate is at once creamy and ripe and also teeming with energy and freshness. Superb cut and precision and velvety almost fully resolved velvety and ripe tannins. Drinking so well. I’d get started on these as this will not get better than it is today.

Youthful nose, cherry, cherry flower, freshness abounds with also some other non cherry flower florals, also some wet earth and even some slate. Gorgeous but will be insane in 30 minutes. I know this wine. Sweet, decadent, layered, layers of cherry fruit and even some cassis but remains lacey and fresh. Terrific almost NSG grip but terrific sweet fruit and ripe tannins. Tastes like the top wine in that it has serious grip and substance. Epic. Still young. But also still delicious.

I opened this to go with my risotto with spinach and leeks, but it’s such a hit it won’t make it to dinner. This tastes way more youthful than a 10 yr old wine. Sappy, crunchy cherry fruit, fur, loads of crushed limestone minerality, sweet spice, humus. Lean, high-toned, and savory in the mouth, with great acids and a long finish. Superb.

Fragrant and delicate, this is still surprisingly fresh for a 9 year old PN this light. Cherry juice, powdery high-toned rock dust, and a sweet hickory note on the nose. It’s leaner and drier in the mouth than the nose would suggest, but was excellent with my Chicken Dijon tonight.

I wonder if this was bad. Way too tart. Sour. Unpleasant. Too old? I tossed it. First Fass wine I didn’t love.

Stunning perfume or spice, sweet cherries, ripe plums, cinnamon, sweet oak, earthy, slatey, white pepper, flowers super complex and aromatic nose. Palate is concentrated, deep with stunningly sweet fruit, depth and freshness. My god this is great. Really developed more weight and flesh since last time. What a long finish.

Need 45 minutes of air. At first it’s all oak and lean, super-high toned, almost resiny cherries. After air time, the oak integrates and you get sappy cherry extract(still high toned), mossy notes, gingery baking spice, and cracked stones aromas. The aromatics actually don’t quit in the mouth, but the palate turns lean and very minerally quickly. Then the stone stone stoney notes and acids persist in the long finish. Quite a character, this wine.
