Dark and opaque. Aromatic and expressive. Notes of ripe black cherry, blackberry, black pepper and spices, some earth. There is some wild strength in the tannins and acidity, which are enjoyable, but I’d love to come back to this in a few years to see how it’s all come together.

Very young and precocious. I don't normally go for this varietal. Looking beyond its disjointed youth, this should settle down and behave. Difficult to tag the components on the nose, but I did detect strawberries.

On the palette, I found it really crunchy with mouth-drying tannins. Served at Nougatine, but requires at least another 24 months of bottle age.

I guess, it's a matter of taste...

Very young and primary. Needs a long decant or another 2-3 years in the cellar.

Dark purple hue. Dark fruit: blackberry. Fuller bodied for a barbera but still light and smooth mouthfeel. Nice tannic finish.
