Maté Brachetto
The 2023 Matè is a gorgeous, crystalline wine. Crushed rose petals, mint, white pepper, star anise and orange peel all grace this exquisite, chiseled red. As usual, strong savory and floral notes are front and center. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2024)

Popped and poured. The 2022 “Maté” is 100% Brachetto from a 2-ish acre vineyard in Treiso. The wine pours a striking pale ruby color; almost rosé-like. Medium- viscosity with no staining of the tears. Some slight tartrates on the last glass. On the nose, this is super floral right now with orange blossom, raspberries, alpine herbs and crushed gravel. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose and finishes with a mineral and floral driven flourish. A perfect pairing with a warm fall day with a light lunch at Via Farina. Drink now.

Sep 19th, 2015great fun! Chilled, classic Brachetto ripe red berries with Rosè notes. Dry and still. Pretty geeky stuff. Nice with grilled poultry and light slaws.
