Powerful, dense, tannic. A wine to age for years. Purchased on Garagiste

Sourdough with blueberry, dried black currant, thyme, mint, black nigella sativa seed, black sugarless cake, and violet fragrances. Inky black color with a sedimentary side, but tar, graphite, baker's chocolate, espresso bean, licorice, forest floor biomass, black olive, and smoky black currant forever. Great wine from a storied vineyard!

Powerhouse blackberry, black currant, licorice give way to a window of swamp water, tilled earth, dogwood, herbs de provence, toast. Leather greets the palate, fresh boysenberry, blackberry, raspberry, plum tartness, smoke, dark tobacco, burnt corn kernels, graphite. Small, grainy tannins turn silky but darkly resonant. Rosemary, baked beets, in this super-young wine that still begs for years of aging to shine far beyond its plastic surgery California alternatives. Day 2: toasty black cherry, dried blackberry, dusty earth, graphite filings, sarsaparilla cookie burnt around the edges, dark raisins, a finish that is part negroni, part sazerac rimmed with raw cocoa.

Beautifully knit Cab based blend. Shows an elegance in the ample fruit. Has some grippy tannins, but is very approachable. A fantastic vineyard in the hands of a great producer means great wine.

Similar to previous bottle just not quite as fresh.

Wow, a few years have done wonders for this wine. Dark red fruits with mocha and lovely eucalyptus. Full body with lively acidity. Long finish. Had plenty of life left.
