I can taste why!
Itβs an opaque velvet red-black colour in the glass. Itβs full of oomph on the nose with intricate yet vivacious notes of dark berry fruit, black pepper and leather. Itβs heady, big and bold. In the mouth it follows suit with a super confident and sassy palate. It will cellar beautifully over the coming years, thatβs for sure.

Old vine depth of flavour showing through loud and clear. Deep, dark, and brooding. Very pure ribena then the savoury layer of bacon fat/funk below. Full bodied but without the tannin structure or freshness to provide balance.

Turned on to by a gal from Quigley wine purveyors and she nailed it. met at the Newport Wine and Food festival. Ordered a few wines and was introduced to this gem. Inexpensive and delicious. Must try.
