[BAD @Delectable Wine app is back, it wouldn’t post my long tasting note, and I’m tired of fighting it and doing it again.] Anyway, I posted on this exact wine at the Singlefile Winery when we tasted it (and I bought some) 3 years ago, still really fine. 55% Mataro, 40% Shiraz, 5% Grenache. It still needs 3-5 more years of cellaring.

This CdP tribute (55% Mataro, 40% Shiraz, 5% Grenache) to Pope Clement V is simply lovely, rich, youthful darkfruits and a solid structure that suggests 5-7 years of cellaring is in order, medium-long, lingering finish, very fine GSM blend!!
As an aside, we were lucky enough to make it to Singlefile Wines this afternoon and taste the full range being poured, the 2022 Family Reserve Chardonnay (the wine they’re known for) was outstanding, as was their 2022 Frankland River Cabernet Sauvignon, and pricing was VERY reasonable — only problem is that they don’t export to the U.S. — Oh well. . . .
