Lovely dark red color. Nose is fruity and floral (rose potpourri/damask) with a hint of leather. Flavor is very dry. Lots of perfumed dark fruits. Blackberries and black cherry juice. Some nice woodsy stuff. Bitter dark chocolate backbone. Complex and clearly intense. Nice blend of the classic cherry and cassis thing you get in the two varietals. Tart. Heavy on the tannins. Slightly savory to complete the ‘experience’.

Tried this at the Disney California adventure food and wine festival 2016. Silverado winery had an amazing seminar. Absolutely fell in love with this wine.

A little bright cherry and bubblegum on the nose. Nice tastes of plum, cranberry and tobacco on the palate. The tannins are big but not overpowering, probably reflective of a young wine. There is ample acidity in this cab/Sangiovese blend which makes me think this wine will improve with age.
