Estate Grown Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Still tight after five years but after letting it sit for a day, it turned into this luscious black fruit monster. Wonderful tannins, and definitely a sense of place with an underlying dirt and mushroom flavor.

Blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon 7% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and rest Cabernet Franc, aged 17 months in mostly French oak, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruit, floral and herb notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants and plum with cacao, herbs, vanilla spice and cedar. Firm fine tannins, medium+ length ending with fruit, oak and sweet spicy finish. Nice! Needs a couple of years!

Black cherry, raspberry, cassis, dark chocolate, vanilla and oak. Full-bodied and moderate tannins.

This 5 year old Napa Cabernet is drinking very nicely now, although still young.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity and mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle and better with some air time (90 minutes). I liked the nose better than the palate at this point.

Would age nicely in the next 15 years.

This four-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is showing nice complexity with a great mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle, and better as it opens up and shows the tannins and complexity. An hour in a decanter does the trick.

Nicely balanced, fruit forward, rich and elegant. Tasty and delicious.

A good sipping wine, that will age nicely in the next 5 to 15 years. I've had a few vintages with much more age before, and it is always delicious.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses and crackers.
